For those who get tired of lying on the beach, there is much to explore around Arillas. From the port in Agios Stefanos, you can take a boat to the tiny neighbouring islands of Mathraki, Othoni, and Erikoussa, each owning a charm and history of their own.  In addition, buses regularly leave for Corfu town, where one can easily spend the day shopping, drinking coffee at a local kafeneion, or visiting one of the several museums that are prevalent in the islands biggest town.
